Delivery Status:

We frequently like to compare the performance of the two delivery giants and lately the better of the duo has been United Parcel Service. UPS is higher by 27% YTD and 87% over the last one-year period. Compare that with Federal Express which is up less than half thus far in 2021 up 13% (returns on one-year time frame comparable). Although we do not look into dividend yields much UPS also has a larger one at 1.9%. Wednesday kept the comparison alive as UPS was up better than 1% as FDX was near the UNCH mark. The chart below of UPS, and the ratio chart on the bottom of it, show how UPS has been in the “driver’s seat” pun intended. It is just 2% off most recent highs, while FDX is 8% off its peak made on 5/27. UPS on its WEEKLY chart is looking superior as well battling for a third straight week CLOSING at highs for the WEEKLY range. This week it has advanced 1.4%, while FDX is off 2%. Advantage UPS.
