Each week at ChartSmarter we like to bring to a little insight into what we do on a daily basis. We have been at it for more than 4 years and we love doing it. Each night we detail 8 to 10 of our favorite ideas, both long and short, for the next days session. We do NOT have a chat room, nor are we active “tweeters”. In Tuesdays Game Plan we profiled HW and GOLD. HW has its pulse on the general health of the housing market and that sector itself made a nice showing for itself. HW had a long history of problems with the 14 handle dating back to March of last year. Last June and July were also problematic. That 14 level was taken out decisively on 12/3/14 and quite quickly moved back below it until bouncing off 50 day SMA support on 12/16/14. We suggested a buy at 14 on another retest and it triggered on Tuesday and notice the volume on Thursdays massive 7.6% advance. It is now UP by more than 5% and stay long above 13.55.
