Markets gyrated somewhat Thursday and closed near their lows for the session. The S&P 500 fell just below the big round 1500 number, that is had closed above for 4 consecutive days. A few breakouts were recorded today coming from QCOM LVS, which took out cup with handles of 65.63 and 54.04 respectively. AJG came very close to taking out a double bottom pivot of 37.03 on enormous trade. Some interesting bifurcation is going on in the transport sector as UPS UNP (3 down big volume days in last 6 sessions for UNP), look weak while OSK JBHT TRN all stubbornly holding onto recent gains. Housing derivative plays are still suggesting the building sector is fine, as WHR OC TUP all are behaving nicely. Weak reports today from COP RDSA down 5 and 3%, affect tomorrow big integrated oil plays XOM CVX? At least FB found a “like” at its 50 SMA support today.
